Must Have List #5811

ONE: I want a fake animal head on my wall.  Something about it is just...cool.  I don't care if it's played out or not.

TWO: I am still feenin' after this giant wall decal by Blik.  It WILL be mine.

THREE: A gallery frame set, like these off of Etsy:

That's all for now!

I Don't Get It: DIY Clothespin Mirror

This is not cute.
Not cute at all.
Shame on you.

IDGI Disclaimer:  All images credits and sources in "I Don't Get It" are intentionally left out to protect the original poster from embarrassment.  If you really want me to tell the world that this is your awful idea, please leave a comment and I'll be happy to do that for you.  *wink*

Garden Grown Booze?

This intrigues me.

One of the best cocktails I've ever had was a Lemon Lavender Martini, so the idea of Lavender or Rosemary infused vodka sounds decadently delicious.  I also think this would make a superb gift.

Check out the full tutorial from Design*Sponge after the jump.

Alas, I have forsaken you.

And for that, I'm truly sorry.  Shit just got real.

BUT...I'm back.  And I've decided that the pressure of posting each day for the enjoyment of others, though noble, was a bit too much for me to handle.  So I may not be posting every day, but I WILL be posting whenever I see something that inspires me.  Think of this as my own personal design diary that you get to peek into.  I plan on using this blog as a way for me to compile all the ideas I love so that I can find them when I'm ready to take action.  I can only hope that what inspires me may inspire you too.

Sorry...

Yes, I know I've been away.  Yes, I have a reason.

I'M IN A SHOW!!!!!

That's right.  When I'm not dreaming of Dwell, West Elm, and Anthropologie bedding & hardware, or fawning over other people's DIY super-human-powers...I sing and act.  If you're in the Los Angeles area, you should come hear me (and a bunch of totally awesome Broadway & Film/TV stars) sing the music from Baz Luhrmann's films.  Check out www.showatbarre.com for tickets.

Inspiration: DIY Dresser Re-dos

Here are three Before & After dresser projects that have jump-started the inspiration for my aforementioned endeavor

My First (big) DIY Project?

So you may notice that the title of this post is a question.  That is because I'm kind of a little "scurred" for the project that I may be setting up for myself.  Maybe my fellow design fanatics out there can help me out.  I found a GREAT deal on Craigslist on this simple, yet versatile Shaker style set.  This dresser is being sold along with two matching nightstands for a truly unbeatable price.

I immediately responded to the post with the hopes of gearing up enough guts and energy to tackle this as my first Before & After project.  But, I gotta admit...I'm a little afraid that the task will seem too overwhelming once I have the furniture in my bedroom, thus leaving me with some nice-but-plain-generic furniture.  Then, I fear I will have to question why I ever let go of my white IKEA Malm Dresser.  Especially after seeing this Malm upgrade on Apartment Therapy:

So what do you guys think?  Any suggestions?
I'll do a Before & After roundup, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!
